Conformance Status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1(opens in new tab) at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)
Accessibility Features
This website includes the following accessibility features:
- Skip to main content link — A skip navigation link appears at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation menu and go directly to the main content.
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are clearly visible on all interactive elements.
- Screen reader support — Pages use semantic HTML5 elements, ARIA landmarks, and descriptive labels to support screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
- Color contrast — All text meets WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Resizable text — Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Alternative text — All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes.
- Form accessibility — All form fields have associated labels. Error messages are clearly identified and associated with the relevant form field.
- Heading structure — Pages use a logical heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) to facilitate navigation by screen reader users.
- ARIA landmarks — Pages use ARIA landmark roles (banner, navigation, main, contentinfo) to help screen reader users navigate the page structure.
- Accessible tables — Data tables include proper caption, thead, and scope attributes for screen reader accessibility.
- Carousel accessibility — The reviews carousel includes pause/play controls, keyboard navigation, and ARIA live regions to support assistive technology users.
- Reduced motion support — Animations respect the user's "prefers-reduced-motion" system preference.
- External link indicators — Links that open in a new tab include visible indicators and screen reader announcements.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we acknowledge that some content may not yet fully meet all accessibility standards. We are actively working to identify and address any accessibility barriers. Known areas under review include:
- The embedded Google Maps iframe may have limited keyboard and screen reader accessibility. We provide a text address and link to Google Maps as alternatives.
